CURRENT REUNION INFO. - GET YOUR ROOM ASAP!!
Dear Family,
Please ensure you get all of this relevant info. to your family members. ASAP!
I booked a reservation for the following dates below for Estes Park Colorado YMCA of the Rockies. We are staying in the Wind River Lodge which is a nicer lodge than last time. The dates are June 25 - 28, 2010. This is a Friday through a Monday and will accommodate everyone getting off of work easier. It was also moved back since some were not out of school by the previous date and to improve weather chances. We reserved a block of 25 rooms. At this point once we have reserved all of these rooms we will have to work with Wendy at Group Reservations to see if we have more available onsite. We reserved as manya s we could based on the contributions for the deposit. Anyone under 5 is free. Rates for the entire stay including meals are below. These rates are PER PERSON based on the # of people in the room:Single $5072 to a room $298.503 to a room $229.024 to a room $194.255 to a room $173.40Children $57.00For example, Cortney and I have 5 children. We pay $298.50 each and then $57 X 5 (total = $825) to get our total including meals. These rates are tremendously more reasonable than any other location we checked into. We have already paid a group deposit of $625 dollars. Thank you to those who have contributed to this. I have kept a spreadsheet of who contributes and this money will be returned to them upon check in 2010 provided we use all of our rooms. I have reserved meeting space and will receive info. closer to the reunion to detail specifics and send it in. One very important detail is that each individual family will be responsible after our initial deposit for their own financial arrangements and reserving their room. When you make a reservation a deposit of 35% of the total charge is required. This is how Estes Park does it now. This means starting on September 20, 2008 families can go online (http://ymcarockies.org/home/reservations/groupres) and book their own reservations under our block of rooms. Or they can call (800) 777-9622. This must be done ASAP. When you book your reservation an individual room deposit of 25% is required. You must then pay in full according to the due dates when the reservation is made but no later than check in. Our group # is Fidel FR 2010: IRM, our contract # is E40944, our group reservation # is 95153. MAKE SURE YOU BOOK YOUR RESERVATION IN THE WIND RIVER LODGE OR YOU WILL NOT BE WITH THE GROUP!!
Previously they communicated rooms had to be reserved to verify the block by December 31, 2008. I have negotiated that family members can reserve their rooms up to April 1, 2010. We have 25 rooms in our block. At this point you will need to make your reservations ASAP! The rules are if you cancel after 9-2-08 100% of your deposit is forfeited. After April 25, 2010 (this is the last date you can decide you can't go) You must pay the total for your room reservation whether you go or not!! To prevent the family being charged for unused and reserved rooms in our block, I will cancel all unreserved rooms in our block no later than April 1, 2010. If you need to cancel by this date or have not reserved a room it will be too late and you will need to pay the full balance of your room so that the rest of the family is not stuck trying to pay for it. This will help us to ensure we are not charged for unreserved rooms. Please feel free to e-mail or call me at the below #'s with questions. We are beginning to plan activities and a reunion schedule.

Question Follow Up: Camping and RV Hookups
I have inquired of Emily and the conference team to see if camping or RV hookups are an option since several have asked this question. I wanted to let you know she is looking into it. The YMCA website does not list these options for the Estes Park Location. However, if they do not have this option I will research what is in the area and post by Sunday. Going forward I will update this blog every Sunday at least of not more frequently so we all stay on the same page up through the reunion. Please spread the word and get everyone in our family using this blog!

Dear Family Reunion Leader,
Thank you for selecting Estes Park Center to host your family reunion. Listed below are the directions for you to distribute to your family members in order for them to make their reservations on-line.
When your family goes to the on-line registration (the group area) at our website www.ymcarockies.org they should follow the following links.
1. Click on Group, conference and retreat reservation under "make reservations" at the top of the home page.
2. Click on Group reservations for Estes Park Center near the bottom of the next page.
3. Choose "Group or Family Reunion" and click continue.
4. Type in E40944 for the Group number and 93153 for the password.
5. Your Family Reunion information will appear. Click "continue"
6. Continue to make a room reservation by filling out your arrival & departure dates and putting in the number of people staying in your room. Then click “Search for Available Room Types”. Select the room type you would like. The price will appear at the bottom of the next page.
To finish the reservation click on “Continue to reserve this room”. You will then fill out information needed for a confirmation and asked for a deposit of 35% of your total stay.
When the reservation is completed it will give you your confirmation number. You will also receive an e-mail confirmation. If you do not get this in a timely manner feel free to contact Reservations @ 800-777-9622 ext. 2 so that we can send another copy out to you.
If you would like to come in earlier or stay longer, you will need to make your reservation on-line first for the dates of the reunion. Then you will need to call Family Reservations @ 800/777-9622 ext 2 to add the additional nights to your family reunion reservation. Please have your reservation number handy.
If you have an electronic way to contact all of your family or would like to put a link on your website that will directly link you to the reservation page, please use
